DIY Mason Jar Match Storage with Sandpaper Striker on Lid

Nobody likes to fiddle and fumble with a matchbox, so we’re going to replace it with a mason jar and even incorporate a striker on the lid!

I love this idea, and have seen a dozen variations from different people across several craft blogging websites. It is a rather simple concept, but it definitely makes the perfect replacement for the traditional matchbox and allows for easy access and striking of your matches.

The Burlap Bag’s version is what we decided to share with you, due to the fact that they took the monotonous (with respect) idea and added an extra touch to it– a hole in the lid so that you can easily shake a match or two out of the jar without having to open it!
