Learn how to make mason jar snow globes– the perfect Christmas craft idea using jars, and excellent handmade gift ideas! Whether you frost your jar with salt to create a dry globe, or use water or glycerin to achieve that glittery liquid effect, you are going to love the result!
To start it all off, It All Started With Paint changed things up a bit from the traditional style of snow globe that we are used to seeing, which was a really nice twist to the norm! Placing the little blue vintage-looking miniature car inside the jar and strapping a tree on its back like the Griswold’s in Christmas Vacation was just the cutest thing ever! Excellent, excellent, excellent design!
Michaela Noelle Designs crafted very pretty snow globes also, and took really great quality pictures to demonstrate how to make these snowy works of wintertime art! I love the look of mounds of snow piled up around the towering Christmas trees!
Wife Mom Superwoman took a similar approach to these beautiful snow globes, but also used different types of jars and the cutest little miniature ornaments and figurines. The little tree stump, baby reindeer, and ribbon have really made these feel like Christmas.
Sweet Tea With Cindy did a nice job with this snow globe and surrounding pieces, making this creation into a little winter village– she even has a Frosty!
Every photo by Ashley Ann Photography / Under the Sycamore is just gorgeous as can be! This snow globe uses an old vintage mason jar with a vintage lid, adding that blue hue to the wintery scene and giving it the perfect light and cold-feeling appearance. Take a look for yourself and you’ll see what I mean about the photography, which is a work of art all on its own. Not only does the snow globe look fantastic, but the steps along the way look fantastic! Well done.
