This peppermint sugar scrub is absolutely scrumptious and pretty too! Give this as a gift or make one for yourself, all it takes is a mason jar and a few simple ingredients!
I have recently been toying with the idea of making some sort of sugar scrub and when I saw this peppermint scrub, I had to try it! I love the smell of peppermint so this was a perfect fit for me.
I was happy to discover that it only took a few ingredients to make, most of which I already had! To make your own you will need this:
- White sugar, about a cup and half.
- Vegetable oil, about half a cup
- Peppermint oil and red food coloring, just a few drops, but you can use your own discretion.
You can alter this to make as little or as much as you would like and add as much food coloring or peppermint oil as you would like! This is really just a base recipe and I have seen different variations.
Once you mix it all together, that’s it! So now you’ll need to decorate your mason jar! I used what I had on hand at the time, a few strands of red and white striped string and a few free printable’s I found!
This is the printable I used for the jar lid. I found them at One Creative Mommy and I thought they were perfect!
So once I found the lid printable, I needed a tag of course! I found the peppermint sugar scrub tag at Seven Clown Circus and thought it was just adorable!
And then your finished! I loved how mine turned out! I’ll be making some for gifts and keeping one for myself! This is such a easy and inexpensive gift idea for any occasion, not just Christmas!
